CBC reports Ford dropped the bombshell on reporters today at Toronto City Hall. Here’s the recording:
Ford had been under fire over the crack tape since May, when the Toronto Star aired its existence and Gawker launched a fund-raising campaign to purchase it.
Today, in admitting the drug use, Ford added that it probably occurred during a “drunken stupor” and does not indicate an addiction.
#RobFord says he is "not an addict", that he had tried crack cocaine. Wants to move forward.

Ford said he wants to see the tape for himself and wants “everyone in the city to see this tape.”
The 44-year-old mayor has one year left in his term.
